Coast Getaways reserves the right to decline any on-line booking within 48 hours of submission should we find the reservation non-compliant with the Rental Terms and Conditions stated on this page. Coast Getaways will refund all monies received if the reservation is declined. A reservation is complete when a Coast Getaways Confirmation Letter is received by the guest.

Check-in and Key pickup begins at 3 pm. There may be a delay during peak season depending on short turnarounds for cleaning. We want you to enter a clean and finished home. We appreciate your patience and understanding--plan on enjoying the Village of Mendocino while you wait.

Checkout time is no later than 11 am -- no exceptions.

1. You are responsible for the full rental amount. Whether you purchase the All Seasons Travel Plan or not, if you find it necessary to cancel your reservation you have final responsibility for the full amount, which is due and payable at time of cancellation.
2. Fifty percent is required at booking with final payment due 30 days prior to your arrival date.
3. A Non-refundable Damage Waiver is included in your reservation, which will relieve you of minor costs for accidental or incidental damage to the property and its contents. This Damage Waiver does NOT cover major damage to the home or its contents or excessive cleaning for which Renter remains liable.
4. Renter agrees to call Coast Getaways at 707-937-9200 to report any damage caused or discovered during their stay. On departure, Renter agrees to leave dishes clean, all heat off, and all doors and windows locked.
5. Renter also agrees to leave the premises in a neat and tidy condition. Inventories and inspections are performed before and after each tenancy. Additional charges will be assessed if Renter leaves the premises in a condition requiring extra-ordinary clean-up such as carpet spots or linens needing special treatment, etc., and any damages caused due to Renter's negligence.
6. This property is being rented on the basis of the number of guests who will be occupying the property. If the number of guests in your party exceeds the number you stated, you will be charged $50 per person/per day and will be immediately evicted. Please secure permission for any changes. No weddings, receptions or other gatherings are allowed unless agreed to in advance and in writing by Coast Getaways. No RV's or trailers are allowed to be parked on the property.
7. All our vacation homes are Non-smoking. Any evidence of smoking in the house will incur a minimum $500 fine.
8. A few of our rentals allow pets. There will be an additional fee of $50 per pet. A fee of $250 will be charged for any evidence indicating a pet found in a non-pet home.
9. A telephone is provided in the home for your convenience and safety. All calls outside of our local area should be billed to your calling card. If they appear on the home telephone bill, they will be charged to your credit card on file plus a $25.00 service charge will be added.
10. Coast Getaways is not responsible for lost articles. Any items left at the home, if found, are subject to a minimum return charge of $25.00 plus the mailing costs.
11. Guests are responsible for returning key(s) and garage door opener on departure. The charge is $75 for each key and $100 per garage door opener deemed lost.
12. Renters agree to use the property at their own risk. Renters hereby indemnify Coast Getaways and Owner and agree to hold same harmless from any and all liability in regards to Renter's use of this property. The cliff area here on the coast is very dangerous. The bluffs are extremely fragile and will crumble easily and without warning. Everyone is cautioned to stay well clear of and not climb on the bluffs around your vacation home.
13. Repairs - there are no adjustments, guarantees, or refunds for problems or failures beyond Coast Getaway's control, such as weather or power outages, and all other unavoidable occurrences. Even the best or newest equipment occasionally malfunctions and cannot be guaranteed 100% of the time. Problems will be corrected as soon as possible with priority given to plumbing, electrical or heating.
14. The guest authorizes Coast Getaways to charge their credit card held on record, in lieu of a $500.00 security deposit, for any additional expenses that are incurred during their stay, in accordance with the above terms and conditions.
15. Abalone divers: None of our homes allow ocean access from the property. The neighbors and Abalone Watch volunteers will immediately report any suspected infractions directly to Fish & Game Wardens.
16. WHAT IS PROVIDED - All towels, linens, cooking and dining utensils, firewood, fire starter, some paper products, hand soap, dish and dishwasher soap are all provided for your convenience. Not provided: charcoal, all condiments, paper napkins, paper plates.
