Coast Getaways is a locally owned and managed vacation rental business located in the Village of Mendocino. We have a wide variety of vacation rental homes from the heart of Elk to the dunes of Inglenook, over a 30 mile stretch of Mendocino coastline with the historic communities of Albion, Little River, Mendocino, Caspar, and Fort Bragg in between.
Mendocino offers myriad activities to suit everyone's fancy -- 14 State Parks/Reserves/Beaches and more beaches provide plenty of hiking, river canoeing, sea kayaking, horseback riding, llama trips, beach walking & picnic activities; 30 vineyards & wineries along the Anderson Valley (Hwy 128) provide excellent wine tasting and a smorgasbord of delectable wines for the connoiseur; every season brings traditional and local events you won't want to miss such as the Mendocino Film Festival, Whale Festivals in March, 4th of July festivities, Mendocino Music Festival, WineSong!, Mushroom & Wine Festival, Crab & Wine Festival, and much, much more. There's always something going on for you to join in or opt out to just relax, rejuvenate, and plan for your next visit!

May brings in the full colors of Spring to the Mendocino Coast. Drive to the coast and be greeted by the wild & cultured Rhodie’s in bloom, joined by wild sweet peas, lupines & more. It’s a wonderful time to visit the Mendocino Botanical Gardens and checkout what’s blooming.
What a wonderful Mother’s Day gift! - A trip to the coast at this time of year. Not only will she love the spring blooms, several restaurants are offering a special Mother’s Day meal for her treat—just think (for her), no cooking, no cleaning, a mini-vacation from home-work. She’s worth it! Call us to make a reservation for one of our vacation homes.
Don’t forget Memorial Day weekend (5/25-27), the first 3 day weekend to kick-off the summer! We still have some homes available – call us! We’ve experienced some warm weather but certainly still cooler than the 90’s we’ve been hearing on the news. Come savor our cooler Mediterranean weather and sink your toes in the sand.
Take 8 Mendocino Film Festival (5/31-6/2) has added several venues & depth to their offerings. Enjoy a weekend of film screenings & interactive special events with those behind the camera; with guest appearances & an eclectic variety of curated films.
Other May activities to note: Boonville Beer Festival (5/4) – over 100 brews from all over the west; Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival (5/17-19) - tastings, classes, dinners & more; A Taste of Chocolate, Wine & Ale (5/26) hosted by the Mendocino Music Festival & the Mendocino Art Center.
