March 1st heralds the beginning of 3 Whale Festivals on the Mendocino Coast. The first one is The Mendocino Whale Festival – kicks off this Saturday with a Chowder Tasting in Crown Hall on Ukiah Street in Mendocino. Tickets for the Wine Tasting are available there & at the Ford House in the Village.
Wine Tasting buys you the experience to taste varietal wines and partake of complimentary fare at local business sites hosting local wineries. It’s a fun event and enjoyed by many visitors – a good way to explore the town & get to know the locals. Be prepared, rain or shine the celebration goes on!
Next weekend is the Little River Whale Festival and the following weekend is the Fort Bragg Whale Festival. If you miss one, you can definitely plan for another. Each weekend includes different events to enjoy!
The Whales are heading back up north so it’s the perfect time to catch them on the move--just combine slow relaxing breaths with a little time as you keep your eyes on the Pacific horizon. If it’s raining you can do your viewing from an oceanfront or ocean view vacation home, staying warm while enjoying the comforts of a Mendocino home.
Redwoods are the other jewels of the Mendocino Coast! We’ve added 2 wonderful vacation homes that put you in the midst of Redwoods yet within minutes of the coast beaches, State Parks, Mendocino and Fort Bragg. Checkout the exceptional features of Redwood Ranch and Sundance. Both homes are unique and are perfect for sharing with family or group of friends!
We’re offering winter special rates of 3 nights for the price of 2 nights (excluding holidays) to entice you to stay at one of our enjoyable vacation homes. Checkout our online booking for your convenience or give us a call for more information and answers to your questions.
